failing in love

i have seen the shining ones:
brilliant white with palest honeydew,
ultraviolet flying, made a way,
chartreuse faded, not to stay.

but the rainbow is food for a soul,
while white light reflects our highest goal,
to give light all it's good for,
a little better forever more
than the light ones who lit before.

but you mock
your luck
run amok.

piled high, fortified with stench and distaste,
a shining beacon on a hill of waste,
the hunger and thirst
to be on top and first,
the gnawing pang
of the carnivorous fang
to sink into flesh,
young and fresh,

you're the lord of the flies
whirling in superfluous lies,
a maze unwise,
of twisted ties,
aliases and alabies,
a thousand eyes,
on flanks and thighs,
the pest and parasite
steals a hasty bite.

appono astos
there is only one revolution,
and it is revolving now.
occupy everything!
